Chip type, tap range and phone cases

• Chip: stickers and PVC cards use NTAG213, a standard NFC chip. Other products use standard NFC chips that any NFC phone can read.
• Range: touch distance, a few centimetres. Hold the card flat against the back of the phone.
• Cases: thin plastic or silicone cases are fine. Thick, metal or magnetic cases, metal plates and ring holders block the tap. Remove them.
• Internet: the tap itself needs no internet, but the phone needs data or Wi-Fi to open the page.
